~Solid Foods~

We started Walker on solid foods and so far he's LOVING it! We're slowly introducing new foods to him and he's tried cereal, green beans, carrots, and bananas. I'm hoping he takes after daddy and isn't a picky eater like his mother. Walker looks so darn cute when he eats too. I'm loving it just as much as he is.

~Walker's First Tooth~

Walker is getting his first tooth on the bottom!!!!! I can't believe my baby boy is getting so big already. He's been drooling A LOT and has been a little cranky the last few days. He tries to put everything in his mouth too. He just wants to chew, chew, chew.

~Our Trip To Omaha~

We took a family trip to Omaha, NE last weekend and had a blast. I've always heard good things about the zoo there, so I couldn't wait to take Walker for his first zoo experience. The weather was perfect and while KC was getting all the rain, we had plenty of sunshine to enjoy the day. Walker is such a good baby and we've never had a bad experience when we're out with him. We got to the zoo at opening and left an hour before they closed. That is a long day for a 5 month old. Walker rode the Carousel for the first time too. This was also his first time to stay in a hotel too. We had planned on taking him swimming in the pool, but changed our minds quickly after realizing there was way too much chlorine in the water. I didn't want it to irritate his skin, so I let him take a bath in the big jacuzzi tub back in the room.

~Deanna Rose Farmstead~

Walker and I went to the Deanna Rose Farmstead on April 1, opening day. Of course it was busy since it was opening day and it is free admission through the week. We had a lot of fun, although Walker fell asleep 20 minutes into it. We stayed an hour and I just walked around and enjoyed the fresh air and atmosphere. We saw plenty of farm animals and lots of little ones running around playing. This is just the beginning of many trips to come.

~The Krazy Coupon Lady~

I stumbled upon an awesome website called The Krazy Coupon Lady and have been obsessed with it ever since. I have always used coupons, but obviously wasn't using them to my ultimate advantage. I have learned how to "outsmart" the system now and I'm saving us a tremendous amount of money on our shopping adventures. If you haven't learned how to use coupons correctly, then this website will help you out when you're feeling lost about the whole understanding of it. I am having so much fun saving money. As a 1 income family, this is an awesome advantage. You will need to take time and study the store circulars and how to use your coupons and the rewards money correctly. The key to getting items for "free" is to do multiple transactions. Here are a couple of pictures of all the awesome deals I scored.

I love this website!!! I spent $9.15 at Walgreens on everything in the second picture and saved $44.00 after my coupons. I spent a total of $9.37 on everything in the first picture and saved $30.56.
